Franksting ‘Goes Down’ – Preview

June 1st, 2009

well not in the sense you might be thinking.

We’re heading to Victoria to see the Swans play at the Iconic MCG next Sunday. We thought with the pain and suffering involved in transporting two small ones via a plane for such a short journey, why not take a Roadtrip instead? Especially when you consider the requirement to pay for car parking at Rip-off Airport #1 and get a rental car at Rip-off Airport #2. It would also give us the opportunity to wear in the new tyres on the ’6′ and cover off this years FBT requirement as well.

A new dawn

February 24th, 2009

I’ve opened up a new blog site using Blogger –

Why, you ask?

Well this page was originally set up to share personal info, photos and random musing with Family and Friends. It is also hosted by a friend. I think my possible plans to spend a bit more time extending my thought processes and opinions into a blog with a test on the benefits of monetising that through advertising may compromise his generosity without first testing the waters on the effect that might have on his hosting servers and domain.

So Blogspot is where the more opinion focused posts – as most of the recent ones here have been – will be until such time as I can figure out how to do it in the longterm or if it is even worthwhile.

I’ll definitely be changing the Domain Name, just need to check if my preferred option is available.

As always you can see what I REALLY think by following me on Twitter.

Letter never Sent

I don’t wish to harp on about Miranda Devine, but I found this letter I never sent in my drafts today from the period of the Henson embarrassment last year. As you would expect, la Devines article was as one eyed as it could be and also unsurprisingly dictating to the world. I’m sure you can find it on Fairfaxes Sydney Rag Website if you look hard enough. I refuse to link to it until the Editor and owner of that media channel choose to set things right with that person.

Anyway, you can tell I don’t like Ma Devines opinions very much, so now I’ve broken the silence, why keep my opinions about its opinion to myself anymore. Enjoy the read, this one is a bit more conciliatory than my last piece Read the rest of this entry »

She has done enough. Have you no sense of decency, Madam, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?

February 12th, 2009

Open Letter to the Sydney Morning reacting to the ‘op-ed’ by Miranda Devine in their ‘going downhill fast’ media platform blaming ‘Greenies’ for Murdering 300 (sic) people in Victoria by means of Bushfire. I suspect, even if published, it will be edited. So the full text is here. If you want to hear what I really think, you can see my twitter posts here

You can write your own reaction to her piece of Flat earth Bullshit here.

Dear Sir/Madam,
As a regular reader of your website, I sometimes – mostly to my misfortune – accidently happen upon a certain Ms. Devine’s second rate efforts at drumming up antagonism in the populace. Generally, due to her obvious distaste for anyone with concern for the planet we live in as well as people in general, I gladly avoided her column.
